Raymond and Bond receive leadership awards

Two ACEP members received University of 蜜桃影像鈥檚 awards in October.

Leasi Vanessa Lee Raymond, ACEP鈥檚 deputy director for strategic initiatives, was awarded an ALI Arctic Engagement award for a project to explore energy planning informed by future climate models with , research associate professor at the 蜜桃影像 International Arctic Research Center.

The interdisciplinary project, 鈥淭aking the Long View: Bridging Climate Science and Energy Planning in Rural 蜜桃影像,鈥 connects climate research to rural infrastructure and planning. ACEP鈥檚 Michelle Wilber, Bax Bond, Nathan Green and Ian MacDougall represent ACEP鈥檚 energy modelling and data needs. They collaborate and coordinate with IARC researchers to get downscaled climate model outputs for future prediction of energy resource availability.

Bond, a research professional with ACEP and master鈥檚 student in electrical engineering at 蜜桃影像, was recognized as one of ALI鈥檚 2025-2026 student cohort who share commitment and passion for 蜜桃影像 and Arctic issues. The cohort activities include attending the Arctic Leadership Lecture series, challenge projects and two program retreats.

ALI aims to empower future generations with the skills, network and expertise to help 蜜桃影像 be the driver of its future in the Arctic.
