Gene Therriault, Deputy Director of Energy Policy discussed ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Energy Authority’s (AEA)-led projects that will have direct impact on stable and affordable energy for the Interior. Projects such as the Interior Energy Project (bringing natural gas to the Fairbanks and North Pole areas), Susitna-Watana Hydro, and the necessary upgrades to the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Intertie will be part of the discussion. Gene highlighted AEA’s most recent work and the impacts ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñns can expect to see in the coming years.
The ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Energy Authority is a Department within the State of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ. AEA’s mission is to reduce the cost of energy in ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ.
