Rural Energy Conference Looks to ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Innovation and Opportunity
Innovation and opportunity were the central topics at the 2018 Rural Energy Conference, and ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ is looking to be a hub for energy innovation and deployment.
Innovation will help forge ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ’s energy future by capitalizing on existing and emerging opportunities. Topics at the conference included electric energy storage, solar photovoltaic technology in the North, community energy project management, renewable energy integration challenges, workforce capacity issues, financing energy projects, project development, and utility operations, among others.
Energy resilience and sustainability will move ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ forward as a leader in remote renewable energy projects. Gov. Bill Walker spoke to the conference attendees on capacity building, innovation and energy resilience, and communities like Galena and Kotzebue presented on their renewable energy sucesses.
The conference presentations will be made available soon. The 2018 conference was sponsored and organized by ACEP and the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Energy Authority.
