ACEP Director Attends VERGE Clean Energy Summit

Last week, ACEP director Gwen Holdmann attended the three-day Asia Pacific Clean Energy Summit in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The summit brought together over 900 clean energy stakeholders working to build a sustainable future in Hawaii and worldwide. Hawaii has a mandate to reach 100 percent renewable energy in the electricity sector by 2045.

Holdmann co-led an interactive workshop, “Microgrids 101: Development, Operations and Scalability,” focused on how to build, operate and scale microgrids for a more energy-resilient future. She also co-led the breakout session “Innovative Demand Response Solutions for Grid Management and Accelerating Onsite Solar,” where Holdmann shared experiences from Ӱ that are also faced in Hawaii and the greater Pacific region.
