New project: Carbon Ore, Rare Earth, and Critical Mineral Development in ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ
September 10, 2021

A recently funded project exploring ores and rare earth elements in ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ aims at reducing reliance on imported critical minerals. This could lead to establishing ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ’s resources as globally competitive sources of supply. The project led by Brent Sheets (Institute of Northern Engineering, Petroleum Development Laboratory) is funded by the Department of Energy's NETL REE-CM program. This project works in collaboration with DGGS, Native Corporations, and the resource development industries.
