Thanks to the support of Chartwells and ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ students and employees, 500 turkeys will be donated to the Fairbanks Community Food Bank for Thanksgiving.

When Jerry Brown came to Nome

A few ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ researchers recently accepted a surprise assignment of giving Jerry Brown a tour of the Seward Peninsula. The California governor was stopping in Nome on his way to a meeting in Russia. The 79-year-old environmentalist and leader of a state that resembles a progressive nation wanted to learn why the far north matters. He had never been to the Arctic or ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ before.

The UA Office of Information Technology will decommission EDIR by Feb. 1, 2018. The decommissioning project timeline involves having every EDIR-dependent service transferred, reconfigured, redesigned or retired by Jan. 1, 2018.
