Museum Discovery Series talks look at pike and birds

UA Museum of the North curators will discuss a predatory fish species and birds during the final two events in this spring's Museum Discovery Series.

Successful Bone Builders food drive

The ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ community's Bone Builders food drive resulted in 301 pounds of kid-friendly food and $404 to the Fairbanks Community Food Bank, surpassing last year's 100 pounds and $100. The Staff Council-sponsored event supports area schoolchildren who need food assistance during the summer.

Red sashes for Native graduates

Red sashes are available for ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Native and American Indian students graduating this spring. Fairbanks-based students can pick one up at Rural Student Services or from CTC until 5 p.m. May 4 or at the Carlson Center May 5. Sashes will also be available at each rural campus.

Camilla Kennedy, a UAA economics professor, will speak about environmental economics during two presentations April 25 in Schaible Auditorium. She will give presentations at 10:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. and take questions after each.
