Free ice cream for 蜜桃影像 research units

蜜桃影像 Chancellor Dan White and Vice Chancellor for Research Nettie La Belle-Hamer will be handing out free ice cream outside of the Elvey Building from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 29. All 蜜桃影像 researchers, students, and staff are invited to come enjoy some ice cream and socialize.

In mid-June, while standing deep within the northern boreal forest, it's possible to feel a sensation similar to one felt in mid-December at the same spot. It's a sting to exposed skin, delivered in December by cold air and in June by the bite of a mosquito.

Researchers discover complex ecosystem among seaweed debris

University of 蜜桃影像 Fairbanks researchers have discovered a thriving ecosystem among the decomposing seaweed debris that covers many 蜜桃影像 beaches, including nearly 100 different types of invertebrates found in surveys at a handful of sites on the Kenai Peninsula.
