'Breaking the Cycle' film, discussion

The ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Justice Department and ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Department of Corrections are co-hosting a screening of the documentary "Breaking the Cycle," from 6:30-9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, in Schaible Auditorium.

The film, directed by Tomas Lindh and John Stark, follows the warden of Halden, Norway’s maximum-security prison, as he tours U.S. prisons to discuss a new approach to incarceration, which focuses on rehabilitation.  Following the screening, Commissioner Dean Williams will lead a community conversation with Mike Daku, chair and associate clinical professor of the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Justice Department.
