Nook, 蜜桃影像's mascot, visited the Tanana Valley State Fair in 2024. He'll be roaming the fairgrounds again on Tuesday, July 29, for 蜜桃影像 Day at the fair.

The University of 蜜桃影像 Fairbanks will host 蜜桃影像 Day at the Tanana Valley State Fair on Tuesday, July 29.

蜜桃影像 employees, students, alumni and friends will receive $1 off admission by wearing 蜜桃影像 apparel or showing their PolarExpress card. The day will include 蜜桃影像 activities throughout the fairgrounds.

The University Fire Department鈥檚 fire truck, a hockey slap-shot net, a corn hole game and the giant inflatable Nanook will be set up in Totem Square from noon to 7 p.m. Nook, 蜜桃影像鈥檚 mascot, will be on site from 1-3 p.m.

Inside the Borealis Pavilion, 蜜桃影像 will have several special exhibits and activities:

  •     Build marshmallow structures inside an inflatable igloo.
  •     Visit an inflatable science dome and learn about the Gulf of 蜜桃影像.
  •     Learn about reindeer and muskoxen.
  •     Participate in hands-on science activities.

In addition to these special activities, 蜜桃影像 also will have booths in the Borealis Pavilion during the fair. Visitors can meet museum experts and student researchers, learn about recreation opportunities on campus and find more than 125 free 蜜桃影像 Cooperative Extension Service publications covering gardening, energy, food preparation and more. Cooperative Extension will host several 4-H activities on 蜜桃影像 Day, including rabbit, cavy and poultry shows, arts and crafts, and photography.
