URSA announces 2025 Innovative Technology and Education awardees

The ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Activity recognizes the following individuals who received an URSA 2025 Innovative Technology and Education award. URSA's ITE awards fund up to $5,000 for technology-related equipment or software for student-based instruction and/or research.

The following are this year's recipients:

  • Della Hall, UA Museum of the North: UA Museum Fine Arts Collection Management Technology
  • Scott Hansen, Department of Music: Music 301 Projector
  • Patrick Knavel, Department of Biology & Wildlife: Spectrophotometers for Microbial Studies
  • Quetzel Larrick, Department of Electrical Engineering: Student-built spacecraft components with an advanced 3D printer
  • Stuart Lutton, CEM Makerspace: Enhanced Learning through Advanced Manufacturing and Printing (ELAMP)
  • Joseph Storm, Department of Physics: Physics Lab Computers
  • Sandra Wildfeuer, Department of Developmental Education (CTC): Interactive Online Learning for Synchronous Students in Mathematics
  • Diana Wolf, Department of Biology & Wildlife: Genetics lab kits for DNA sequencing from home
  • ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Elmer E. Rasmuson Library: Laptops for the Technology and Equipment Collection
