Week’s events: Atkinson and Toelle, dementia, AI, progressive rock

University of ����Ӱ�� Fairbanks Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning is hosting more than 40 free lectures, concerts and events this summer. Here’s what’s happening during the week of Aug. 3-9:

• On Monday, Aug. 3, the Fairbanks Tall Timbers interview series will honor Jane Atkinson and Doug Toelle, reindeer ranchers. The interview is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
• On Tuesday, Aug. 4, the Healthy Living lecture series will host Sriharsha Gowtham, internal medicine physician, discussing “A Preventative Approach to Reducing Dementia Risk.” The lecture is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
• On Wednesday, Aug. 5, the Discover ����Ӱ�� lecture series will feature Genova Brookes Boyd, assistant professor of library science, presenting “Beyond the Hype: Understanding AI in Your Daily Life.” The lecture is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
• On Thursday, Aug. 6, the Music in the Garden concert series will present Identity Crisis at 6 p.m. and AnaLemma at 7:30 p.m. at ����Ӱ��’s Georgeson Botanical Garden.

All events are free and open to the public. Parking on the ����Ӱ�� Troth Yeddha’ Campus is free after 5 p.m.
