Week’s events: Corlis Taylor, book bans, summer arts fest musicians

University of ����Ӱ�� Fairbanks Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning is hosting more than 40 free lectures, concerts and events this summer. Here’s what’s happening during the week of July 13-19:

• On Monday, July 13, the Fairbanks Tall Timbers interview series will honor Corlis Taylor, public health advocate and fiber artist. The interview is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
• On Tuesday, July 14, the Healthy Living lectures will pause as the university hosts U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. Healthy Living will resume on July 21.
• On Wednesday, July 15, the Discover ����Ӱ�� lecture series will feature Elizabeth Dawson, assistant professor of library science, presenting “Whose Shelf, Whose Story? Censorship and Book Bans.” The lecture is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
• On Thursday, July 16, the Music in the Garden concert series will present Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival musicians at both 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at ����Ӱ��’s Georgeson Botanical Garden.

All events are free and open to the public. Parking on the ����Ӱ�� Troth Yeddha’ Campus is free after 5 p.m.
