Kandji's Rebrand to Iru: What You Need to Know

October 22, 2025

Banner: Kandji to Iru

UA Mac users may notice a significant change to our device management platform: Kandji, the Apple device management solution used across the University of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ system, has rebranded as Iru. This new name and logo will automatically begin to populate on UA-managed Apple devices, including in the Self Service app.

We understand this change may feel sudden, and we sincerely apologize for the lack of advance communication. This was an external branding decision by the vendor, and we were not provided with prior notice to share with you. However, we want to reassure you that based on all available information, this is purely a name and branding change. There are no changes to the platform's functionality-- the tool will work exactly as it did before, just under a new name.

We know that our organization's migration from JAMF to Kandji (now Iru) has had some bumps along the way, and we want to take this opportunity to thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation. We genuinely appreciate your patience as we've navigated these transitions together. Our team remains committed to continuously improving your experience with your managed devices, and we will share any further relevant updates as we receive them.
