Jahna served as ����Ӱ��’s Attorney General under Governor Bill Walker from August 2016 to December 2018. In addition to representing the state on all legal matters during her tenure and leading the state’s public safety initiatives, Jahna served on the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) executive board and the Conference of Western States Attorneys General (CWAG) executive board. She also co-chaired the NAAG Marijuana Working Group and the NAAG Federalism Committee. As a non-partisan state AG, she developed strong relationships with both Republican and Democrat AGs. As state attorneys general undertake more investigations and bring more litigation, Jahna helps clients navigate consumer protection, antitrust, data privacy and other policy issues nationwide.

Jahna is also an experienced trial attorney. Both before and after serving as Attorney General, Jahna has represented clients in a myriad of complex commercial disputes. She has significant expertise in unfair trade/consumer protection cases, antitrust and securities litigation and professional malpractice. Jahna regularly provides advice to ����Ӱ�� Native corporations concerning corporate governance, fraud and fiduciary duty issues, as well as oil and gas issues. She has also handled more than thirty appellate cases before the ����Ӱ�� Supreme Court, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and United States Supreme Court.

Jahna has a strong commitment to public service and commits significant time to pro bono legal matters. In addition to regularly working with the ����Ӱ�� Network on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, Jahna worked with the ����Ӱ�� Innocence Project in 2015 to exonerate the Fairbanks Four – George Frese, Marvin Roberts, Eugene Vent, and Kevin Pease – all who had been wrongfully convicted in the 1997 murder of John Hartman.

Jahna clerked for Justice Robert Eastaugh on the ����Ӱ�� Supreme Court in 1997-98.
