The University of Ӱ Fairbanks’ Troth Yeddha' Campus, where the Unit is located, is on the traditional lands of the Dena people of the lower Tanana River. Our research throughout Ӱ takes place on the unceded lands of the Haida, Tsimshian, ŁingítTlingit, Eyak, Athabascan, Yup’ik, Cup’iq, Sugpiaq/Alutiiq, Unangax̂/Aleut, and Iñupiaq peoples. We respect and appreciate their past and present stewardship of these lands and waters.
