Free interdisciplinary short course, Introduction to Marine Energy, August 9 - 14, 2026 in Nenana, taught by Eloise Petrone Brown. ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ undergraduate students from any major are welcome. Participants will earn 2 credits through the Honors College, with tuition covered by ACEP. ACEP short courses are 4-7 day experiential learning opportunities on a specific energy topic. Short courses are designed for undergraduate and graduate students, and many short courses offer the option of industry and/or community members participating alongside the students.

NASA has launched the TechLeap Robotically Manipulated Payload Challenge, and they are looking for innovative payload proposals from startups, university labs, and independent engineers. If you win, NASA will award your team up to $500,000 and fly your payload to orbit.

S2S is a University of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Fairbanks Center for Innovation program that facilitates workforce development. Funded by the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Regional Collaboration for Technology Innovation and Commercialization, or ARCTIC, program, S2S places UA students into local startups, giving them the hands-on experience and connections they need to build careers and eventually ventures of their own in ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ, while giving startups access to the university talent they need to grow.
