The Delta Junction district serves an area centered on the junction of the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Highway and the Richardson Highway in Interior ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ. This area includes the communities of Delta Junction, Big Delta, Delta Clearwater, Fort Greely and Dry Creek. Approximately 5,100 people live in the area, about a quarter of whom are transient workers in the U.S. armed forces or seasonal workers.
Delta is one of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ’s agricultural centers, with oats, barley and hay as the major crops. Outreach includes programs in agriculture and horticulture; integrated pest management; and health, home and family development.

2025 Delta Harvest Wrap-Up
The Delta Harvest Wrap-Up is Thursday, Nov. 20 from 5:30-9 p.m. It is a free, annual event that brings researchers focused on ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ's agricultural research priorities together with area farmers to give updates on their various projects. Researchers are from ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ's Institute of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Extension and the USDA's Agricultural Research Service. It also provides producers with an opportunity to share their thoughts on research priorities.
Location: Delta Career Advancement Center, 1696 N Clearwater Ave., Delta Junction. The ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Cooperative Extension Service and Salcha-Delta Soil and Water Conservation District co-host the event.
